Preschool Health & Hygiene

For the protection of your child and the other children, parents are asked not to bring a child to church if they have, or have had within the past 24 hours…

  • Fever;
  • Vomiting or Diarrhea;
  • Any symptoms of a childhood disease such as scarlet fever; German measles, mumps, chicken pox, or whooping-cough;
  • Common cold from onset through one week;
  • Sore throat;
  • Croup and/or productive cough;
  • Any unexplained rash;
  • Any skin infection such as boils, impetigo, ringworm; or pink eye or other eye infection.

If a child develops a fever or other symptoms of illness during preschool activities, you will be notified immediately.

The preschool staff will not administer medications.

For sanitation reasons, we encourage you to use disposable diapers at church.

The preschool staff uses Universal Precautions when in contact with body fluids; use of gloves with diaper changes, hand washing after each contact, and proper disposal of soiled diapers and used tissues.
